General

JoJoThumb is a utility that allows to create thumbnails from images of the imagetypes BMP, GIF, EMF, JPG, PCD, PCX, PNG, PSD, TGA, TIF, WMF and RAW-Files from Digital-Cameras.
Additionally JoJoThumb builds a complete HTML-based gallery with an index-page, thumbnail-pages and image-pages.

JoJoThumb is Freeware and working with Windows ME, 2000, XP or Vista.

The features are:

  • Determing the range of the conversion
    It is possible to use filters for filenames, image-dimensions, image-types or a directory-depth.
  • Cloning images with a unique dimension
    JoJoThumb can copy images to a clone-directory and convert the different image-types to JPG with unique dimensions.
  • Text and Imagestamps
    There is the ability to insert Text and/or Imagestamps into the cloned image.
  • Thumbnailgenerator
    JoJoThumb supports images of the image-types BMP, EMF, GIF, JPG, PCD, PCX, PNG, PSD, TGA, TIF, WMF and RAW-Files from Digital-Cameras (CR2, CRW, DCR, DNG, MRW, NEF, ORF, PEF, RAF, RAW, SRF).
  • Creating a HTML-based gallery
    Based on the images and their thumbnails it is possible to generate a HTML-Gallery.
    It contains an index-page, one or more thumbnail-pages and optionally a html-page for each image.
    Many options allows to define the appearance of the conversion.
  • JoJoScript
    A special aid for creating the HTML-Gallery is JoJoScript.
    JoJoScript let you use information about the current states of the process like the number of the image within the whole process or the current directory, page-number, line-number, previous and following element, image-size and so on.

    You can write your own functions using loops, comparisons, assignments and function-calls. There are many built-in functions for maths, strings, converting, image-information, input/output. A few datatyps for variables are available.

  • EXIF/IPTC data and JPG-Comments
    Exif-data which is stored in images of digitalcameras can be extracted.
    This is working for IPTC-data and JPG-Comments too.
  • Profiles
    Every adjustment made for settings of the coversion is stored in profiles for later reuse.
  • Multilanguagesupport for User-Interface
    Currently german, english, dutch, polish, slovenian, spanish
  • Batch-Ability
    JoJoThumb     can automatically invoked by commandline-arguments.

This example shows how to build a HTML-Presentation.

You have to select a directory (=Base-Directory), which contains directly all images to process or which contains sub-directories which contains the images.

In this example the directoy demo1 is containing 3 sub-directories (bilder1, bilder2, bilder3) where are stored the images.
Elements like background-images and images for navigation are stored in a decoration-directory. In this case the elements are stored in the directory rahmen.

When the conversion is done, the base-directory demo1 is containing three new directories.
deco is containing a copy of all elements of the decoration-directory rahmen.
html is containing all HTML-files needed for the HTML-Presentation.
thumbs is containing all the thumbnails of the images.

This example shows how to build a HTML-Presentation. The base-directory and the directories containg the image-sources are not be altered.

This is possible by cloning the original-images by a pre-process. The whole directory-structure is transfered to a clone-directory. A conversion to JPG with unique dimensions is possible.

When the conversion is done, the clone-directory VoreinstellungClone is containing the source-image-directories (bilder1, bilder2, bilder3) and also three additional directories.
deco is containg a copy of all elements of the decoration-directory rahmen.
html is containg all HTML-files needed for the HTML-Presentation.
thumbs is containg all the thumbnails of the images.
 
Sample results

The following examples shows what is possible with JoJoThumb.
Every example use the same image-sources and thumbnails.
To achieve different looks different profiles took care; especially their definitions for the decoration-source and the HTML-Outputdirectory.

JoJoThumb
To use JoJoThumb some additional components are needed. These are the Visual Basic 6 Runtime and the files MSCOMCTL.OCX, JoJoThumbIS.DLL and JoJoThumbRAW.DLL.
JoJoThumb and these components are the content of the Full-Installation.

The Update-Installation will require a previously installed version of JoJoThumb.

Both packages are containing translations into german, english, dutch, polish, slovenian and spanish. Also a few profile-samples are included.
